New Bowl Feeder System Completed!

DB-Automation have recently designed, built and shipped a bowl feeder system for a new client who contacted us with a specific requirement. We received all the relevant details of the component and feed rate required for a clip whereby the distance between the parts at the end of the process were critical. The specification was that parts had to be spaced 30mm +/- 0.6mm apart at the end of the track ready for pick up. We came up with a couple of ideas of the best way to do this, and once talking....

DB-Automation’s first ever Technology Event that took place on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th September 2016 was an outstanding success! There was a superb turnout and with so many interested people coming together to see the displays, it made all the preparation and organisation worthwhile. It may not be the most glamourous manufacturing topic or engineering process but I think many would agree that there is a certain art to good quality manufacturing of bowl feeders?

Often referred to as magicians or wizards of bowl feeding, the skilled engineers that take control of the often complex tooling involved in a bowl feeder, are sadly far less mythical.

Over this mini 3 part series I will walk you through some of the thought processes, techniques and manufacturing elements that perhaps are not uncommon in the bowl feeder world but certainly at the core to how we design and craft our feeder solutions.
